“This charming rural church wanted to liven up their foyer with bright colors and an affirming message. The church had a clear vision of the design they wanted, and now the morning sun which was once over-bearing to the rear pews, casts layers of inviting color and sunlight into the sanctuary. The red ribbon of lettering was created by sandblasting the letters onto multi-layer glass for a crisp and bright presentation.”
Some quick history…
Stained glass windows have been used to illuminate churches for centuries. They were not only used for decorative purposes, but most importantly, as a way to spread the word of god to the churches congregation. Long ago few could read the actual scripture, so churches hired stained glass artists to illustrate the story of the bible on detailed pieces of glass that were hung throughout the church.
